Baptism

Water baptism is not required for entrance to Heaven. We are saved by the grace of God through acceptance of Jesus Christ as our savior. So, what is it all about?

Water baptism is:

  • An act of faith and obedience (Matthew 28:19-20)
  • A public declaration, or testimony, of your faith in God (Mark 16:16)
  • A symbolic expression of your rebirth as a child of God (Col 2:12-14)
  • A symbol of new life or renewed purpose in Christ (2 Cor 5:17)

All new believers are encouraged to be baptized, but it is a personal choice, just as our decision to accept Christ. Therefore, we only baptize children when they are old enough to make that decision for themselves.

Whether you are being baptized for the first time or a long-time Christian making a renewed declaration of faith, we want to offer you the opportunity for water baptism on the fourth Sunday evening of each month. Please sign up at the visitor booth in the church entry or click the button below if you are interested in being baptized.
