And the Word Was Made Flesh – Part 5: His Purpose

Article written by Brother Bledsoe

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Luke 19:10

I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.
John 5:30.

In these two verses you have the reason for Jesus’ coming to earth and all that motivated Him to do what He did while here. Everything that He came for was fully accomplished through His death on the Cross. All that He did while here verified Who He was.

God also has a divine purpose for our lives

We are not here to just float through life and affect no one. But to accomplish our purpose we must be in constant fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Andrew Murray wrote: THE FIRST and chief need of our Christian life is fellowship with God. The Divine life within us comes from God, and is entirely dependent upon Him. As I need every moment afresh of the air to breathe, as the sun every moment afresh sends down its light, so it is only in direct living communication with God that my soul can be strong.

The manna of one day was corrupt when the next day came. I must every day have fresh grace from heaven, and I obtain it only in direct waiting upon God Himself. Begin each day by tarrying before God, and letting Him touch you.

Take time to meet God today and each and every day

You will be all the more blessed. When you begin to think that your purpose in life is over you would be wrong. Listen for God’s voice today and then follow His instructions. Jesus did and so must we.

Rewind Your Brain

If you answered yes to any one of these questions you need to stop, rewind your brain all the way back to the time that you knelt in prayer, confessed your sins and received Christ into your heart; because at that moment in time you knew that God had forgiven you and that He would bless and keep you.

I Will

Throughout the Bible God gives us His promises and relates them to us by saying “I will” do this or that and most of the time they come with the condition by The Lord saying, “if” we will keep His Word and be obedient. In the Psalms the writer states, “I will,” do such and such but never seems to put a condition on God. We are to do what is right even when God does not bless us for doing so, don’t you think?
