And the Word was made flesh…

Article written by Brother Bledsoe

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

The life of Jesus is typical and yet unlike any other

He grew up in the home of a carpenter and was probably taught the trade and learned to work with His hands. He was on this earth less than half of what I have now been. His ministry spanned a total of about three years. Less than 1/16 of mine. Yet, He accomplished something more than me and all the others called into God’s service put together.

Not a one of us can save a soul…

But we can lead sinners to the One who can, Jesus Christ. If the blood of every believer, apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher of the Word who has ever lived was collected, all of it combined could not wash away even one sin of one person. But one drop of His blood has and will eradicate the sins of every man, woman and child who has lived and who will confess their sins and believe on Him.

John wrote in 1 John 2:2 (GW):

“He is the payment for our sins, and not only for our sins, but also for the sins of the whole world.”

Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV):

“For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Jesus Christ is the unique God/man

We may not understand that but we will find it to be true if we will but read the Bible. We will find the short span of time from Jesus’ baptism to His ascension to be remarkable. Let’s see if we can take this journey together. We will all be richer by doing so.

Have a blessed day.

Rewind Your Brain

Do you worry about anything and everything? Do you expect bad things to happen to you? Do you listen to the doubters, skeptics and unbelievers more than you listen to God? If you answered yes to any one of these questions you need to stop, rewind your brain all the way back to the time that you knelt in prayer, confessed your sins and received Christ into your heart; because at that moment in time you knew that God had forgiven you and that He would bless and keep you.

I Will

Throughout the Bible God gives us His promises and relates them to us by saying “I will” do this or that and most of the time they come with the condition by The Lord saying, “if” we will keep His Word and be obedient. In the Psalms the writer states, “I will,” do such and such but never seems to put a condition on God. We are to do what is right even when God does not bless us for doing so, don’t you think?

It’s Not All “Hunky-Dory”

If you read on in this Psalm you will find that not all was hunky-dory will David. As usual he was facing some enemy and he was pleading his cause before the LORD. But in the midst of his trials, he was determined to praise and worship the LORD.
