Only those who order their speech rightly can offer the sacrifice of praise to God.  Only those who have done righteously have clean hands.  It is to such people that God delights in—I sure hope that is you and me.

In David’s prayer for forgiveness and restoration he asks for eight things to happen.  Since David, the greatest of Israel’s kings, needed all of this from God, maybe we need the same.  Don’t allow an unrepentant spirit bind you.  Return to God and talk to Him about every error and sin in your life.

I promise you if that should happen there will be some people confessing their sins; others will be weeping for joy; and still others would be lifting up praises as they never have done before and the rest would be lying prostrate with their faces to the floor.

When bad things happen, a group of people often gather to pray.  Often, when people pray together, there will those who mock them and say things like, “Where was God in all this?” They will be quick to blame God for what happened; Whom they either don’t believe in or Who they have not been faithful to serve.

Do we sometimes go through long periods of grieving and not even realize what it is that causes us to feel the way we do? Some people have lost loved ones through a tragedy but they have never allowed themselves to grieve or weep for their loss.  Their loss is buried so deep in their memory that it seems to be forgotten—but is it?

That Job was a real man who lived in a real place is accepted by all, but those who would desire to tear the Word of God to shreds due to their unbelief and rebellion. As we look more into the life of Job, we may not understand all that takes place but we will see that God always has things in control.
