Nothing More, Nothing Less

Article written by Brother Bledsoe

The angel said unto the women, “Fear not: for I know that you seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Go quickly, and tell his disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there shall you see him: lo, I have told you.
Matthew 28:5-7

There are three events that changed the course of world history and of humanity more than all others. It was not any war that was ever fought; any king or queen who ever reigned; or any president that was ever elected. It was the birth of Christ when God came down to man; it was when Jesus was crucified and made it possible for humanity to be redeemed; and it was when He was raised from the dead for then and there that God put the exclamation mark on His plan of salvation.

Now, whosoever the Father calls and whosoever will heed the call can be saved. All this is possible because Jesus came through supernatural conception; lived a natural life and was crucified being the supreme sacrifice for the sins of man and died naturally; and after three days He was resurrected. For nearly two thousand years those three events have shaped the course of humanity. Nothing more, nothing less. Amen, amen and amen!!!

If you answered yes to any one of these questions you need to stop, rewind your brain all the way back to the time that you knelt in prayer, confessed your sins and received Christ into your heart; because at that moment in time you knew that God had forgiven you and that He would bless and keep you.

I Will

Throughout the Bible God gives us His promises and relates them to us by saying “I will” do this or that and most of the time they come with the condition by The Lord saying, “if” we will keep His Word and be obedient. In the Psalms the writer states, “I will,” do such and such but never seems to put a condition on God. We are to do what is right even when God does not bless us for doing so, don’t you think?
