The Maze Of This World

Article written by Brother Bledsoe

I the LORD have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 42:6-8

Do you remember the time that the Lord saved you from your sins? Do you remember the joy that you had when the burden of sin of was lifted off you and you knew that you were forgiven?

Free To Live Righteously

It was the Lord who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. It was He who called you to live a holy life and it is He who guides you through the maze of this world, and it is He who entered into a covenant of love with you and signed that covenant with the blood of His only begotten Son. It was He who opened your sin blinded eyes that you might see the true condition of your soul. It was He who opened the prison doors and led you into the freedom of redemption so that you are now free to live righteously because sin does not have dominion over you. It was He who gave you Holy Spirit’s power to be His witness in this confused and sinful world.

Therefore, don’t you think that it should be to Him that all praise and glory belongs? He said, “My glory will I not give to another.” In Isaiah’s day the people were worshiping images of their own making which He had forbidden them to do. Because of their idolatry He permitted foreign powers to invade them and take them into captivity. They praised their man-made gods when they should have praised only Jehovah.

What will happen when we praise anything or anyone above our Lord? Has not a foreign enemy invaded our land? Just asking. Let us return to the Lord. He said that He would forgive our sin and would heal our land. What do you think? Amen!

For The Living

He also remembers that His “compassion” fails not.  Compassion is love applied to the hurting rather than sympathy which is feeling sorry but doing nothing about the pain and suffering of others. Faithfulness is always being there and always being true to one’s word.  Over and over again the Word proclaims that God is faithful.  Literally, He never changes so His Word to us never changes—it is always true.

Inheritance Incorruptible

In the midst of troubles and trials because the genuineness of your faith is tested. Peter wrote that even then your faith is more precious than gold even though it is sometimes tested by fire. To whom is your faith precious? Is it not precious to the one who has it and is it not precious to the One who gives it? Is it not above word?

The Vision

Your faith (and mine) in Christ Jesus should have a profound effect on us and because the end result of our faith is the salvation of our souls. It is through your faith in the finished work of Christ and the confession of your faith that have resulted in your name being penned in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
