The Person With The “Beautiful Feet”

Article written by Brother Bledsoe

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good news, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good; that publishes salvation; that saith unto Zion, your God reigns! Your watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.  Break forth into joy; sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.  The LORD has made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
Isaiah 52:7-10

Paul wrote that the feet of everyone who carries the Good News are “beautiful feet”, but in this passage there is only one Person that he is speaking of – Christ Jesus our Lord.

Notice what the Person with the “beautiful feet” does:

  1.  He brings goods news
  2.  He publishes peace
  3.  He brings good news of good things
  4.  He publishes salvation (deliverance)
  5.  He proclaims that God reigns.

How would you like to read that He who does all these things in the morning headlines has come? If you miss the rapture of the Church, you will most likely read something similar, but it will not be Christ—it will be the anti-Christ; but that would “false news.”

When the Lord Jesus Christ comes again the watchmen on the wall will announce it by singing out the news, “Messiah has come” and they will rejoice at His coming.  All of the places that have been laid waste (perhaps the places of worship) shall break forth into singing for the Lord will comfort His people and Jerusalem shall be the place of His throne.

His “holy arm” speaks of His strength.  The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 98:1-3,

“O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he has done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, has gotten him the victory.  The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness he has openly proclaimed in the sight of the heathen.  He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.”

The Lord will reveal His power again some day, and it could be sooner than we think.  In that day all the nations shall see His great power and the salvation of our Lord.  Do you not look forward to that “day?” If you are a believer, you should because it will be the dawning of the greatest time the earth has known.  This could be the dawning of that “day.” Amen and amen.

Rewind Your Brain

Do you worry about anything and everything? Do you expect bad things to happen to you? Do you listen to the doubters, skeptics and unbelievers more than you listen to God? If you answered yes to any one of these questions you need to stop, rewind your brain all the way back to the time that you knelt in prayer, confessed your sins and received Christ into your heart; because at that moment in time you knew that God had forgiven you and that He would bless and keep you.

I Will

Throughout the Bible God gives us His promises and relates them to us by saying “I will” do this or that and most of the time they come with the condition by The Lord saying, “if” we will keep His Word and be obedient. In the Psalms the writer states, “I will,” do such and such but never seems to put a condition on God. We are to do what is right even when God does not bless us for doing so, don’t you think?
