The LORD reigns; He is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed. He has girded Himself with strength. The world is established, so that it cannot be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.
Psalm 93:1-2
No question about it, God is still in charge. That has not changed and it will never change. The Psalmist wrote, “The LORD reigns.” Literally, that He reigns perpetually. There has never been a time nor will there ever be a time that the LORD does not reign.
The Word of the Lord says that “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
The problem the naysayers, unbelievers and skeptics have is that they don’t either know the Word of God nor believe in the God of the Word. Since they don’t know, they can and will say just about anything and make gullible people believe it. So, as they say, you have got to buy a battery powered car and quit using hairspray from aerosol cans, etc., etc., etc.
The Psalmist, writing by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, said that the “world is established, so that it cannot be moved.” Friend, the world is not going to go away and neither is mankind that God created. The Word of God says in Amos 9:13 (KJV),
“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine.”
Does that sound like the world and its people are going to perish from the earth.
A.W. Tozar wrote, “To discuss the authority of Almighty God seems a bit meaningless, and to question it would be absurd. Can we imagine the Lord God of Hosts having to request permission of anyone or to apply for anything to a higher body? To whom would God go for permission? Who is higher than the Highest? Who is mightier than the Almighty? Whose position antedates that of the Eternal? At whose throne would God kneel? Where is the greater one to whom he must appeal?” There is none!
God is eternal and He is in control. Never doubt it. Amen and amen.
