It is hard for us, or at least me, to realize that I cannot fix everything, or that I am not in charge the circumstances that surround me. The only one that I can control is me. Something good is going to come out of this and God will be glorified through it. That is a choice we make when we walk by faith in the difficulties we must face.

I do think it is important for us to adhere to the directions given to us by our President and our Governor to space ourselves six feet from others. This will be hard for many of us, but I have a few suggestions…

We allow an unhealthy practice when we consistently pray without a Bible. Good prayer is over an open Bible. The Bible is the Christian’s prayer book. It is not to be read passively; it is to be read as if one were having a conversation with God.

As I was praying for God to deliver me from a problem that I was facing this week, God directed me to this scripture. I have read it many times and even preached on it, but as I was reading it this time, God spoke to me and showed me something that opened my eyes to a new revelation about casting your cares upon Him.

The scriptures tell us that “he that the Son has set free is free indeed.” This is a great promise given to us as believers in Christ. Many believers walk below that promise struggling with habits and troubles that seem to control their lives.
