If the Lord was, as many think He is, then no one could be saved. He also feeds us with good things that we may be fully nourished. And He will never forget His covenant. What He says, He will do so let us believe and not doubt.

Have you ever enjoyed a good spanking? If you have you are weird. When I was a child, my mother employed a switch from mulberry tree to my legs to let me know (in no uncertain terms) that she was not happy with my behavior which was sometimes just plain rebellious. I received her message but I never enjoyed it. I am not weird.

Perhaps we can imagine this best by watching the pomp and ceremony of the Queen of England when she is decked out in the finest of her robes and crown. Imagine when you see God for the first time what a spectacle that will be.

Who is it good for if I give thanks to the Lord or sing praises unto Him? Does it make God love me more? Does it build up God’s ego if He has an ego? Is the Psalmist talking about private devotions or public worship? Do you ever ask yourself these questions?

Isn’t it great that you can have place that you call home? Some people say that home is where the heart is while others say that home is wherever they can hang their hat. You and I may have a good place to call home and we may have a good bed to sleep on at night, but we are not really home yet.

People have been looking into the starry night skies for centuries looking for answers. They wonder if there is life form somewhere up there. We could tell them that there is, but they don’t want to believe what we have to say.
