Be Careful What You Don’t Ask For

Are there not times in your life when you want to know that God is hearing your prayers? You want some kind of a sign, some confirmation from your Creator that you are not just praying into empty air?
In the times when great calamity comes our way there is only one place to hide and that is the “Rock that is higher” than us and that Rock is Christ. We need to be convinced that God is greater than our greatest problem and He is an ever-present help in trouble.
Most of us would be grumbling and complaining about the accommodations even if it was the Hyatt Regency that we did not get enough towels or if room service was late getting our meals to us. You know it’s true—don’t you? But David wrote a Psalm of praise to God.
I am confident that God wants to bless us abundantly this year so let’s get everything cleared up with God early on so that nothing will hinder us or short circuit our relationship with our Savior. Have a blessed day in the Lord. Amen, amen and amen.
There are times when we do not do what is wrong but we are wronged by others and we grow bitter and that anger and bitterness silences our praise and worship of God. What should we do when that happens? We must do what we have asked God to do for us so many times; ask God to forgive us.
Event updates are sent out weekly on Monday mornings.
